Landslide is a custom Halo Infinite level made with the Forge map editor. The design goal was to explore all facets of the repulsor equipment, an item that can create shockwaves to push stuff or deflect projectiles. I designed various beats, platform, combat & puzzle to challenge its utilisation.

In Landslide you embodies a super soldier sent to save a scout team trapped by a rockfall, using your repulsor to clear the path and rescue them. Unfortunately the rockfall wasn't natural but was caused by the Banished (main antagonist of Halo Infinite) mining activity, leading to a confrontation in the chasm.

⚙️Halo Infinite Forge

🙋‍♂️ What I did : 

-Make a fully playable campaign level in Halo Infinite Forge
-Build a level around an equipment absent from the original campaign.

🧩 What I've learned : 

-Basic scripting in Halo Infinite Forge

-More efficient level design using varied gameplay beats.

a) Level design pillars

        The repulsor

Explore the repulsor equipment in all its facets. (push objects, enemies, make super jump etc...)

         Varied beats

Halo is expert in combat beats variation, I want to make it honour but also propose beats that we don't usually see in it (e.g platform)

      Link mechanic &  story

Put the player in a context where using the repulsor makes sense: save a team trapped by the boulders of a cave-in.

      Keep it short

Each section should be pretty quick to traverse, the level acting as a brief showdown of all the repulsor usage.
